Chatrapati Shivaji gave the vision of Swarajya : Modi

Mumbai (June 2) Funds of rupees 50 crores will be given for the construction of ‘Shiva Srushti’ at the foothills of Raigad and Board will be formed for the conservation of Pratapgad This was announced by chief minister Mr Eknath Shinde while celebrating the 350th Shivrajya Abhishek ceremony at Raigad. In his audio visual message, Prime Minister Mr Narendra Modi glorified the work of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj by saying that Maharaj gave the vision of Swarajya -the Self- rule.

      Chief Minister Shinde, while speaking at the grand ceremony organized at the Raigad Fort to celebrate 350th year of the Coronation (Rajyahishek) of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj. The audio- visual message by Prime Minister Mr Modi was also broadcast on this occasion.

      Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, Cultural Affair Minister Sudhir Mungantiwar, Guardian Minister Uday Samant, Higher and Technical Education Minister Chandrakant Patil, School Education minister Deepak Kesarkar, Rural Development Minister Girish Mahajan, Sports and Mining Minister Dadaji Bhuse, Member of Parliament Chhatrapati UdayanRaje Bhosale, MP Sunil Tatkare, Sadashiv Lokhande, Dr Shrikant Shinde, MLA Bharat Gogavale, public representatives and other dignitaries also graced the occasion in presence of large number of People.

            Chief minister Mr Shinde further said that the reign of Shivaji Maharaj was the rule of poor and downtrodden people. He never supported any casteism. He always gave priority for bringing women on the forefront. Mr Shinde Said that Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj was popular because of the system he adopted for ruling the state. He was the emperor who cared a lot of his people. He also said that he is happy that the governance of the state in his tenure is marching ahead as per the teachings of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj. He said that he is proud of it.

      Mr Shinde said that his government has started the scheme for giving crop insurance to the farmers for just 1 rupee. He said that on the lines of the union government, the state government has also started Namo Shetkari Samman Nidhi scheme. He said that the government has taken various decisions for bringing maximum land under irrigation, adding that the Jalyukt Shivar scheme had also being restarted. He further said that the Authority is going to be formed under the chairmanship of Member of Parliament Udayan Raje Bhosale for conservation of Pratapgarh. He also said that the Coastal Road in Mumbai will be named after Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj.

      Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj gave the vision of Swarajya Self Governons Prime Minister  Modi said “Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj showed us the path of good governance, welfare of the nation and welfare of the people. Shivaji Maharaj fulfilled the dream of Swarajya. He created confidence among the people in the hard times. He taught the qualities of leading the Army and gave the vision of nation building. There are many facets to the life of the Maharaj and he was multi- dimensional personality. He recognized the importance of Naval armour. He also created various sea forts. Maharaj gave paramount importance in upholding unity and integration, with priority. Today the reflections of Shivaji Maharaj’s thoughts are seen in the concept of “Ek Bharat- Shreshth Bharat” The Coronation Day celebrations of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj has given a new energy, encouragement and a new insight. The coronation of Maharaj was a special and wonderful chapter in that era. Maharaj not only replied to the aggressors with skills, but also created a confidence in the minds of his disciples and kingdom that the self- rule is possible. His personality was enthralling and he established the Self -Rule or ‘Swarajya’ along with good governance ‘Su-Rajya.’ He had a good vision of nation building and I pay my deep respect to Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj who has been inspiration for all.” With these words Prime Minister Mr Narendra Modi lauded the life of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj in his audio visual message.

 Will demand National memorial of Chhatrapati in Delhi- DCM Mr Fadnavis

      Speaking on the occasion, Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis said that we are lucky enough to experience the Shivrajya Abhishek ceremony. He said that the beginning of formation of Maharashtra started with the establishment of Self- rule or Swarajya. He also said Shivraya showed the entire world how to rule. He said that Shivraya has become immortal as ‘Justice Loving Emperor’. He said that he will demand Prime Minister Mr Narendra Modi to construct a huge statue of Shivraya in Delhi, adding that the work and the rule by Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, that was 350 years back is even a model today. He said that the Rajmudra of Chhatrapati had been embossed on the flag of Navy. Now it is the time that National Memorial of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj be constructed in the National capital of the Nation- New Delhi. He said that he will be making this demand with Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

Thoughts of Shivaji Maharaj to be widely spread- Sudhir Mungantiwar

      In his address, the Cultural Affairs Minister Sudhir Mungantiwar said that the government had pledged to take the thoughts of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj to each and every person. He said that hereafter, the State government will be standing firm with the Shivrajyabhishek committee for celebrating the Coronation ceremony of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj at Raigad Fort. He said that efforts are on to ensure that the Jagdamba sword of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj is brought in the nation. He said that a Gazetteer based on the life of Shivaji Maharaj is published by the cultural affairs department. Similarly, memorial of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj will be constructed at Tanjavar and efforts have been initiated in this regard. Mungantiwar also informed that the funds of rupees 5 crores has been allocated for starting the course related to the thoughts of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj at the Jawaharlal Nehru University of New Delhi.

      Member of Parliament Chhatrapati Udayan Raje Bhosale said that Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj had established the rule of common people and all the nations that believe in democracy, had taken inspiration from it. Notably, various programs will be organized across the state for the entire year on the occasion of celebration of 350thyear of the ShivRajya Abhishek and it had started from 1 of June, 2023.
