Take care of animals in Monsoon : Mukne

Mumbai (Aug 4) Animal husbandry, which aims at providing fertilizer for agriculture and healthy food like milk for the people, has taken a commercial form today. Accordingly, farmers and livestock keepers should take care of their animals during monsoons and epidemics by check up and vaccinating them from time to time, said Dr. Additional Commissioner of Animal Husbandry Department. Sheetal Kumar Mukne through the program ‘Dilkhulas’.
As the monsoon affects human health so does animal health. Keeping this in mind, it is equally important for animal husbandry or farmers to take some preventive measures. At present, the animal husbandry department is implementing a country-level salivary gland control vaccination program in the state. Various types of diseases occur in animals. It includes bacterial, viral and infectious diseases. Healthy animals get infected with these diseases through various means. If the weather and conditions are favorable, the prevalence of viruses and bacteria in various organs of animals increases. Information about the symptoms of such diseases and detailed information about the measures has been given by Additional Commissioner Dr. Mukne through the ‘Dilkhulas’ program .
