Chief Minister visits Mega-Health Camp

Pandharpur (June 30) Mega-Health camps were organized at Wakhari, Gopalpur and Teen Rasta for providing necessary health services to the pilgrims (Warkaris) who participate in annual pilgrimage to Pandharpur. Chief minister Eknath Shinde paid a visit to Mega-Health Camp at Teen Rasta. The minister for health Tanaji Savant and minister for rural development Girish Mahajan also accompanied him.

            Chief Minister Shinde extended his wishes for Ashadhi Ekadashi and Wari (Annual Pilgrimage) to all the pilgrims present. He congratulated health minister Savant and his colleagues for organizing this Mega-Health Camp for the pilgrims during the annual pilgrimage.   

            Stating that the state Government has accorded priority to health of common citizens, the chief minister said that the state Cabinet has taken many important decisions for public health at large. He said that Mahatma Jotiba Phule JanAarogya scheme is clubbed with Pradhan Mantri Jan Aarogya scheme which would provide health cover of Rs. 5 lakhs instead of Rs. 1.5 lakhs. He pointed out that it was also sanctioned to start Hindu Hriday Samrat Balasaheb hackeray Aapla Davakhanas at 700 places in the state.    

Enthusiastic response to the health camp

            The health camp for health check of Warkaris or annual pilgrims is receiving very good response and many pilgrims are availing medication after thorough check up at this camp. The doctors at the camp are providing service as if they are the family doctors of the pilgrims.

            There is a sense of satisfaction within the annual pilgrims since the state Government has organized this Mega-Health Camp during the pilgrimage.
